Credit Policy

How Upadz grants, spends, returns and expires credits.

Last updated October 19, 2026 · Effective October 19, 2026

1. What credits are

Credits are units for using eligible Service features, not money or a cash balance. They belong to a workspace and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash except where law requires.

2. Credit sources

A person receives a one-time free grant of 50 credits. Pro receives 500 and Growth 1,050 subscription credits at the start of each monthly credit cycle, including during an annual plan. Paid-plan users may purchase top-up packages shown at checkout. Business grants follow the written contract.

3. Expiry and spending order

Subscription credits expire at the end of their monthly credit cycle and do not roll over. Top-up credits expire 12 months after purchase and remain usable after subscription cancellation until then. Free credits do not expire while the account exists. When spending, Upadz uses eligible credits by expiry and bucket priority; the Billing screen shows your balance and expiry information.

4. Generation costs

The credit cost depends on the feature and settings and is shown before generation. Research and Planning use separate plan allowances that reset each credit cycle. A completed generation consumes its quoted credits even if you dislike the result; a new generation may cost more credits.

5. Failures and deletion during generation

If a generation fails, its credits are returned automatically. Credits returned from an expired bucket receive 30 days of validity. If you delete an item while generation is in progress after the AI provider has already done paid work, the reserved credits are kept.

6. Payment reversals and disputes

If a payment is reversed, unused credits purchased with it are removed. While a payment dispute or chargeback is open, credit spending is locked. If the dispute closes in Upadz's favor, affected credits are restored and the lock is resolved. Credits associated with a lost dispute may be removed.

7. Cancellation and deletion

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewal, but does not immediately remove unexpired top-up credits. Deleting the account ends access and unused credits are lost, subject to applicable law. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for payment terms.
