Five AI ad generators, compared on the things that change what you pay and what you get: where the work starts, whether the tool helps you decide what to say, which formats it makes, and what it costs. Every fact about another tool was read on its own website on the date at the bottom of the page.

The short answer
The best AI ad generator depends on the job. Upadz is the pick if you need to work out what to say before you make the ad: it researches your customer and proposes concepts first. Creatify suits teams that want to create and launch ads in one tool, Arcads offers the largest library of AI actors, MakeUGC makes talking-actor UGC at volume, and AdCreative.ai is built for static banners in every size.
Upadz publishes this guide, so we list where each competitor is genuinely stronger and link every source.
The tools, ranked by what they do best
Upadz
AI ad generator that researches before it creates
Upadz starts from a product URL, researches the customer and the ads in your market, and proposes ad concepts with different hooks before anything is rendered. The concept you pick becomes a finished vertical video ad with an AI creator, captions, a call to action and music, or a set of static ads in the format you need.
A finished video ad costs a fixed 50 credits (720p) or 75 credits (1080p), refunded if the generation fails. We make Upadz, so judge it on the facts in the table below rather than on its place in this list.
- Research and 3 ad concepts before you pay to render
- Video ads and static ads from the same product
- Free plan: 50 one-time credits, no watermark
Creatify
AI ad generator with ad launching and analytics
Creatify turns a product URL, a template or a prompt into video ads with AI avatars, and can launch them to Meta, TikTok and AppLovin from the same account. Its research and cloning tools sit on the Pro plan.
- You want to launch ads to Meta, TikTok or AppLovin from the same tool
- You want ad insights and an AI performance agent next to the ads
- You need avatars in 75+ languages or videos up to 10 minutes
Arcads
AI actor video ads
Arcads is built around a large library of AI actors who perform your script, plus many video and image models in one workspace. It does not publish its prices: plans appear after sign-up or a demo.
- You want a library of 1,000+ ready-made AI actors
- You need to translate ads into 30+ languages
- You want many video and image models (Seedance, Kling, Nano Banana) in one workspace
MakeUGC
AI UGC video generator
MakeUGC focuses on talking-actor UGC videos from a script, with batch variations and an actor who can hold your product on camera. Every plan starts with a $1 trial.
- You want talking-actor UGC videos from a script with up to 1,000+ actors
- You need an actor to hold your product on camera (“Product in Hand”)
- You want 4K export and API access included in your plan
AdCreative.ai
AI generator for static ad creatives, banners and ad copy
AdCreative.ai generates static ad creatives and banners in every placement size, writes ad text, scores creatives before launch and shows competitor insights. A credit is spent each time you download a creative; generating previews is unlimited.
- Static banners in many sizes at once
- A creative score before you launch

How we compared the tools
Each tool was judged on the same five questions: where the work starts (a product page, a script or a template), whether it helps you choose an angle before you spend credits, which ad formats it makes, what the cheapest paid plan costs, and whether it publishes its prices at all.
Prices and features come from each tool’s own public website, never from reviews or resellers. Where a site says nothing, we say so instead of guessing.
What to look for in an AI ad generator
Start with the part of ad-making you find hardest. If you already know your angle and only need footage, a tool with a big actor library or many video models will do. If you are not sure what the ad should say, look for research and several concepts before rendering, because the hook and the angle decide most of an ad’s results.
Then check the price of one finished ad, not the plan price. Credits that vary by model, length and resolution make the real cost hard to know in advance; a fixed price per ad, or a clear credit table, makes testing budgets predictable.
Finally, check the formats: vertical 9:16 video for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and static images in feed, story and landscape sizes. Most brands need both.
Do AI-generated ads work?
The best evidence so far says they can match human-made ads on clicks, with one condition. A study published in Marketing Science in 2026, run with the ad platform Taboola, compared 4,633 pairs of AI-generated and human-made ad images launched by the same advertisers at the same time. On average it found no detectable click-through disadvantage for the AI images, and the AI images did better when they did not look AI-made.
So the useful question is not whether to use AI, but whether the ad looks native to the feed and says the right thing. The study covered display ads, not TikTok or Meta feeds, and measured clicks rather than sales, so test on your own account before you scale.
Are AI ads allowed on Meta, TikTok and Google?
Yes, on all three, with disclosure rules that keep changing. TikTok requires a label on realistic AI-generated content and gives advertisers an AI-generated content toggle in Ads Manager. Meta labels ads made or significantly edited with AI and requires disclosure on social issue, election and political ads. Google has AI labeling settings in its ad products.
In every case the advertiser stays responsible for honest claims: an AI creator can present your product, but it must not be passed off as a real customer’s testimonial. Check each platform’s current policy before you launch; this is not legal advice.
Before you choose a tool
- Write down the one job you need done: research, footage, statics or launching
- Work out the price of one finished ad, not just the plan
- Check whether free-plan exports carry a watermark
- Make sure it exports 9:16 video and the static sizes you run
- Test two or three concepts before you scale any of them
- Read the tool’s rules on AI avatars and testimonials
Where Upadz fits
Upadz is for the step most tools skip: deciding what the ad should say. Paste a product URL and it researches who buys the product, writes 3 concepts with different hooks, and only then makes the ad, as a 18–20-second vertical video or as static images. A finished video ad costs a fixed 50 credits (720p) or 75 credits (1080p); the Free plan includes 50 one-time credits.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI ad generator?
There is no single best one; it depends on the job. Upadz is strongest when you need research and concepts before the ad, Creatify when you want to launch ads from the same tool, Arcads for its actor library, MakeUGC for talking-actor volume and AdCreative.ai for static banners in many sizes.
Do AI-generated ads work?
They can. A 2026 Marketing Science study of thousands of matched ad pairs found no average click-through disadvantage for AI-generated images, and an advantage when the images did not look AI-made. It measured display-ad clicks, so test on your own account before scaling.
Are AI ads allowed on Meta, TikTok and Google?
Yes, with disclosure rules. TikTok requires a label on realistic AI-generated content, Meta labels AI-made ads and requires disclosure for political and social issue ads, and Google has AI labeling settings in its ad products. Rules change often, so check each platform’s policy before you launch.
Which AI ad generator has a free plan?
Upadz has a Free plan with 50 one-time credits and no watermark, and Creatify has a free plan with watermarked exports. MakeUGC offers a $1 trial, AdCreative.ai a free trial, and Arcads mentions a free trial without terms.
How much does an AI ad generator cost?
Entry plans range from about $15 to $59 a month among tools that publish prices, and Arcads does not publish its prices. What matters more is the price of one finished ad: on Upadz it is a fixed 50 credits (720p) or 75 credits (1080p), while most others vary by model, length and resolution.
