Quick answer
An ad mockup generator shows how an ad will look in the feed before you run it. This one draws your image, logo and copy in the layout of a Facebook feed, Instagram feed, Instagram Story, Instagram Reels or TikTok ad, and exports each as a PNG.
It runs in your browser: your image is never uploaded, and it needs no account and no credit. The layouts follow the mobile apps as of 2026, without platform logos; apps change by device and version, so check the final ad in Ads Manager's preview too.
How to make a Facebook ad mockup
Upload the creative and your logo
Click the upload area or drag a PNG, JPG or WebP image onto it, and add your logo for the profile picture. Pick a square 1:1 or vertical 4:5 shape for the feed layouts; Story, Reels and TikTok are full 9:16. The image is cropped to fill the shape you pick.
Write the copy and pick a format
Type the page name, the primary text, the headline and the website, and pick a call to action. Switch between Facebook feed, Instagram feed, Instagram Story, Instagram Reels and TikTok to see each version.
Download the PNG
Download the mockup to share in a deck, a client approval or a team chat. Make one per format if the ad runs in several placements.
Why make an ad mockup before you launch
A mockup catches the problems a file on its own hides: a primary text cut off after three lines, a headline too long for the bar under the image, a product hidden behind the Story buttons, or a creative that reads differently once it sits in a feed.
It is also the fastest way to get approval. A client or a manager reacts to an ad in context far more reliably than to a loose image and a block of text.
Facebook and Instagram ad mockup sizes
Feed images are usually square (1:1) or vertical (4:5); Stories and Reels use the full vertical 9:16 screen. The generator offers both feed shapes and exports every format 1,080 pixels wide.
Facebook hides long primary text behind “See more”, so the preview shows only the first three lines and the headline in the bar under the image. Keep the key message in the first line and the headline short; check the exact cut in the Ads Manager preview.
PNG ad mockup vs a PSD mockup template
A PSD mockup template needs Photoshop: you place your image in a smart object and edit each text layer by hand. It gives you full control over every pixel, which suits design studios.
This generator skips that: no software, no layers, a PNG in a few seconds. Use it for quick previews and approvals; use a PSD when you need a pixel-perfect presentation.
From mockup to finished ads
A mockup shows how one ad looks; it does not tell you which ad to make. If you need the creative itself, Upadz starts from your product link, researches the angle and makes static and video ads in feed, Story and Reels formats.
Upadz researches the selling angle, then makes static and video ads. Start with 50 one-time credits on the Free plan, no card required.

The same ad made with Upadz, previewed in each layout of the generator. Made-up brand, Upadz logo as the profile picture. TikTok in-feed ads are video: the TikTok layout previews one frame of a video ad.
Frequently asked questions
Is this ad mockup generator free?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no account and no credit, and your image is never uploaded to Upadz.
Can I add my logo to the mockup?
Yes. Upload your logo under the ad image: it becomes the round profile picture next to the page name, as in a real ad. Leave it empty to show the first letter of the name.
Can I make an Instagram ad mockup?
Yes. Pick Instagram feed for a 4:5 feed post, or Instagram Story or Reels for a full-screen vertical ad, then download the PNG.
Is there a PSD version?
No. The generator exports PNG files, which open anywhere. If you need editable layers, use a PSD template in Photoshop instead.
Do the mockups look like the real Facebook, Instagram and TikTok ads?
They follow the layout of each app's mobile ad as of 2026: header, Sponsored label, call-to-action bar or button, and the side or bottom buttons. They leave out platform logos and are not affiliated with Meta or TikTok. Apps change by device and version, so check the final ad in the Ads Manager preview.
What size is the downloaded mockup?
1,080 pixels wide. Feed mockups hold a 1:1 or 4:5 image plus the post around it; Story, Reels and TikTok mockups are 1,080 × 1,920.
Can I mock up a TikTok ad?
Yes, as a still: TikTok in-feed ads are videos, so the TikTok layout shows one frame of your video ad with the caption, side buttons and call to action around it.
